BC Floods & Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association (FVAGA)

As a director with the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association (FVAGA) for the last 12 years, I’ve never been so proud. A core group of members have mobilized quickly to safely do so many crucial tasks that the government was not prepared for. We are running anywhere from 12-15 boats on any given to do help the community with the issues caused by the flooding.

Government needs to step up and start helping organizations like the FVAGA to provide support in what the governments themselves have shown they cannot do.

The tasks the FVAGA have done include but not limited to:

  • Evacuations

  • Food and supplies drops to Hope/Yale

  • Donation drops to Chilliwack

  • LifeLab deliveries

  • Emergency Medical taxi service

  • Emergency water line main exploration

  • Transport to homes to get valuables

  • Animal and livestock rescue

  • Sandbagging and pump control

What FVAGA is still doing:

  • River Clean up

  • Sumas Flats recovery

  • Sturgeon recovery

  • Monitoring and accepting requests for help

The FVAGA is doing this voluntarily and to help cover cost they are accepting E transfers & donations. Please Contact FVAGA for more information or questions on how you can help.

Thank you to the many people who have reached out showing support it many ways. We will get British Columbia back on its feet.
