Family Juvenile Sturgeon Fishing

Our juvenile sturgeon fishing trips have become very popular over the last few years.

While Guided Sturgeon Fishing, is for anglers of all experience levels, juvenile Sturgeon fishing is exceptionally good for kids. Not only because of the ability to reel the fish in, but also because of the educational opportunity. During this past February, during COVID, a group of Chilliwack school kids joined the Fraser Valley Angling Guides Association to help a sturgeon data-collection effort. The trip gave the kids the oppourtunity to learn about the Fraser River, protecting the environment and tagging juvenile sturgeons. These are memories they will not forget and the trip was ‘Conservation, education, and science all tied into one’ (read the article here).

Sturgeon Slayers collects data on all fish we catch and the juvenile Sturgeon for the most part is more active and exciting for kids. The fishery has also gained attention from some celebrities like the below (pictured below is NHL 2X Stanley cup champion Andrew Ladd, 3X Stanley cup champion Duncan Keith, Canadian TV host Mariko Izumi, and future Slayer owner Yale Izumi Estrada).
